Reader: Empty Space is Overlapping Header

Open thabotswana opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

It was reported in 4066465-zen that an empty space is appearing at the top of the Reader.

Expected behavior

The entire site header in the Reader should be clearly visible and not have anything overlapping it.

Actual behavior

There appears to be an empty element overlapping the site header.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Go to the Reader.
  2. Tap the site header section on a reader post. (Apparently, this seems to be more obvious with Jetpack sites.)
  3. Notice that the site header is not fully displayed at the top because there is an empty element overlapping it.

I wasn't able to reproduce in our latest beta with that same site, or with another Jetpack site. Are there any other details you can give to help reproduce this? For instance, should we check from within a particular section of the Reader?

Tested on Samsung Galaxy S21, Android 11, WPAndroid 17.6-rc-1

I have shared this screen recording where I was able to reproduce this with my Pressable site. I tested with WPAndroid 17.5.

It seems like the user noticed a similar issue on the more posts section in the Reader. The featured images weren't shown up at this section. I was able to reproduce this on 17.6-rc-3.
