[Woo POS] POS Option Becomes Unresponsive After Navigating Through Store Management

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the POS screen.
  2. Click on the info icon in the Products screen toolbar.
  3. Click on the "Create an order in Store Management" button.
  4. Exit the Order Creation screen.
  5. Navigate to any other tab (except the More menu).
  6. Navigate to the More menu.
  7. Click on POS.

Observed Behavior:

  1. The POS option does not respond when clicked after performing these navigation steps.

Expected Behavior: Clicking on POS in the More menu should always navigate to the POS screen, regardless of previous navigation history.

@AnirudhBhat I'm struggling to reproduce this.

  • Did you find it was 100% reproducible?
  • Can you still do it?
  • Were there any timing-dependent steps?

I noticed that you're offline in the video, but following the steps while offline worked just as I'd expect it to as well.

I've tried on device and on the simulator, both are working for me.

I just tried again and was able to reproduce the issue, but the steps aren't as straightforward as before. Sometimes, I had to repeat steps 1 to 7 multiple times, while other times, it reproduced on the first attempt. On step 5, I occasionally had to navigate through multiple tabs before returning to POS, where it became non-responsive. Here's a video for better clarity.

@AnirudhBhat thanks for trying again... It looks like you're using a simulator, what device/os combo do you have there?

When you reproduce it, does it fix itself when you go out of the Menu tab and back in? Or do you need to quit the app?

I've tried 60 times, on an iPad simulator running 18.2, and an iPad Air running 17.7... can't repro it at all.

I'm going to put this to low priority, since it's an uncommon flow and difficult to reproduce. @staskus @iamgabrielma would you mind checking whether you can get it to happen?
