Add filter to search certificates by learner
In 1077665-zen, a user reports that the Search Certificates field only searches the Certificate Name field, which is only marginally useful. I was able to reproduce this.
To reproduce:
- Go to Certificates > Certificates
- Search for a Certificate title / ID -- it should give you a result.
- Search for a value that is in the
Learnerfield -- no results will be found.

It doesn't work that way for posts and pages, so it doesn't make sense to do it for certificates. We could potentially filter by learner, similar to how WooCommerce filters customers, but this isn't something we'll prioritize unless more users ask for it. Closing for now.
This is something we're struggling with. Searching by title is pointless. We briefly thought some users weren't getting certificates at all because they didn't show up when searching by user name. We can't even sort by most recent. Not to be too harsh, but the certificate listing page is useless from a UX perspective.

I've come to this thread looking for information about the problem. I don't understand how it is possible that it cannot be filtered or searched by student or by course.
A temporary solution could be that the names of the certificates are generated with the name of the student + name of the course, so we could locate them with the certificate finder.

Yes, do need it. I would also like to see the Woocommerce screen options included so we can have more students per page displayed. eg. "Number of items per page: 300" (by entering your choice)

The problem of the search function not working on Course Certificates has been there for years. It has never worked, and I have seen other Automattic customers complain about it. That is also the fault of Automattic, and it causes many hours of my time and my Customer Service Agents time to be wasted looking for Certificates of Completion for students.
