Enter Button Mapped To Newline Instead of Prompting Chat GPT to Answer

Describe the bug When I press enter the ChatGPT plugin makes a new line rather than forwarding. This may be the intended functionality but I personally find this to take extra time and not to be useful. Could an option please be added in where I can specify Enter to prompt chatgpt to answer my question while making Shift+Enter result in a new line? If this functionality already exists I'm sorry to have bothered you.

Is this problem solved? I got the same issue with chatgpt and can't send my queries with Enter key

I'm hoping to find a solution to this problem. I've had the same issue for two days. Pressing send does not work either. I've restarted, deleted cookies, cleared cache, etc.

+1 to this issue, is there even a shortcut to send the message? Right now if I activate the extension with chat UI, I have to manually click the send icon by mouse, neither "Enter" not "cmd+Enter" would work. (Mac OS)

Try using Ctrl + Enter

Ctrl + Enter doesn't work for me. In the instance I am able to press send, it gives me an error message and says to contact their help center. Their help center isn't working properly either.

Yeah I too faced the same issue. OS: windows 11 Browser: chrome I tried refreshing, for the first time it worked. later I couldn't find a way.

SOLVED! I just found a sort of hack for this. Just after typing your prompt press TAB key to shift focus to send button. Then press ENTER key.

This works fine af.

Tab then enter is only a band-aid solution. I have this problem on my laptop but not my desktop and it makes using ChatGPT on my laptop very annoying.
