Support RGB ETC2 with punchthrough alpha

Unless I misunderstood something, etcpak supports RGB and RGBA ETC2 formats. But not RGB ETC2 with punchthrough alpha (1-bit alpha channel). What would be the effort to add support for punchthrough alpha?
