We want to find out what's going on at the authoring end there. Is there a chance you could post a snippet?
Not aware that OpenDCP would generate incorrect essence/metadata. I'll notify Terrence, maybe it rings a bell.
Unfortunately, no way to get the content, I left the festival and did not copy the whole broken film. I think the jpeg2000 files were not issued with opendcp, it was just warped and packaged with it. I corrected the content with opendcp_j2k rebuilding each j2c file.
Let's, for the moment, assume that the JPEG2000 frames were encoded by some unknown app and then wrapped to MXF in OpenDCP.
Is there a chance you could ask Colombia which encoding app/tool they had used?
I'm in touch with the producer, will try to have more info and a sample...
