purge the ram after dcp inspect

Open pm974 opened this issue 11 years ago • 2 comments

today I inspected a feature film on my 24 Gb mackintosh. At the end of the inspection 20 Mbs were left available and 20 Gb were inactive.

I don't know if the RAM purge commands are the same on every OS but I think tht should be taken care of.

Thx

The inactive GB pages in your mem are probably the leftovers from hash computation over large assets. I run tests on a Mac with big packages and the OS handles these memory situations just fine, apparently.

Do you see performance degradation with these numbers (during or after an inspection run)?

Also, which OS version? Which ruby version (ruby -v)? Which Nokogiri version (nokogiri -v)?
