Support for panoramic image

It can be cool to open panoramic image (for example generated by Hugin) like Photo sphere viewer does.

Very nice idea. Since notan is a 3d engine, that should be possible. I don't have good visibility on what panoramic images are out there - I assume at load time one would have to find out if the image is a panorama or not - do you happen to have info on panoramic file standards?

You can find if an image is a panoramic one using XMP tags. See the specs at https://developers.google.com/streetview/spherical-metadata or https://exiv2.org/tags-xmp-GPano.html.
