Oh, also looks like the GA test runner (Ubuntu 22.04) has a version of libwayland that uses @. It may be time to bump the test runner OS, but either way we definitely want to support both.

I believe this is superseded by #44. At least the tests all passed in CI and all but the lua one passed locally on arch (this is a known issue)
