Is it possible to somehow convert a PS4 MW5 save, edit it and then convert it back for PS4 again? Or is that sort of thing straight up impossible?

no idea, have never seen a ps4 version of a save file. in theory it might work I wouldnt imagine they would create a different format for the console versions

It is not a sigle .sav file, but broken up into four or possibly more pieces. If you'd like, I could give you a sample, but I don't think it would be easily converted. I believe it would be too much of a bother if it would require making something from the ground up, which is why I asked about compatibility. Maybe it is possible to somehow pull it off but that would require someone with more technical knowledge than I possess.
