Notches (imperfections) near the edge of a surface mesh

First of all, brilliant algorithm! It works like a charm.

We have been trying instant meshes to re-mesh organic shapes and noticed imperfections near the edge. It happens with surface mesh (only one side of the surface), and looks like the following:

I wonder whether you have seen similar problems before. In this set, we have used -b to align with boundaries and extrinsic mode.
