Maybe is impossible, but during a game do you think there is some technical solution to implement this feature without a framework mod?

It's a very tricky one but might not be impossible. I'll look into it

I have a method to monitor joystick presses but I don't know how/if I can switch the framebuffer temporarily and launch applications in the same way mister does. I don't want it to be too disruptive to mister itself either
