Keeps killing JS debug terminal once started on VS-Code

Expected result

When starting debug terminal, vs-code will launch it instantly

Actual result

• When starting debug terminal, vs-code will not respond.
• When tried to start debug terminal repeatedly, vs-code will start the debug terminal very sluggishly. Within a few minutes the debug terminal will kill itself or become unresponsive.

Steps to reproduce

Use on a moderately heavy codebase.

1. start debug terminal with atleast 10 breakpoints across js files
2. start debug terminal, vs-code will not respond
3. try a few times to start debug terminal, vs-code will start the debug terminal very sluggishly
4. within a few minutes the debug terminal will kill itself or become unresponsive
