Modify the auto-correct suggestions?

Is it possible to just modify the auto-correct part of the keyboard? I want to use it for the @ completion of usernames. Maybe just limit the dictionary for the auto-correct feature? I'm asking here because it seems this gets into the keyboard part. I asked on Stackoverflow but no replies yet - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46987250/limit-spellcheck-dictionary-in-textbox
