~Same, it seems disabling signup somehow disabled sending emails as well~ Nope, the emails with the code are just delayed several hours. I got the code 6 -7 hours later

Same on my side. It seems as Fig is joining AWS, new users can't register right now... but when?? We don't know... So, goodbye Fig. I will uninstall it.
