m1 mac white screen, no messages shown
Opening the app results in a white window with no messages shown. The Wire app works fine on my phone and my laptop but not on my desktop.

is this an ongoing issue for you or was it a 1 time issue?
I've never been able to use wire-desktop with my m1 mac, I always get the white screen.
are you located not in the EU by any chance? I recall some US users reporting something similar and it had to do with the initial download being slow for some reason. I'd suggest leaving it running and seeing if the login eventually appears.
Otherwise, I would suggest just using https://app.wire.com for the time being.
Let me know if you happen to notice it working in the first case. This is something we need to look into more.
I am not in the EU, I followed your suggestion and left Wire open for more than an hour and I still have the white screen. Since the Wire desktop app doesn't work for me I do use https://app.wire.com but it doesn't load my conversation history, it always says it won't do it for privacy reasons.
just fyi you can load your conversation history from other devices running web/desktop instances.

I think unfortunately your issue must be something else but its a bit of a mystery for me currently. I'll see if its something we can reproduce internally.
