Unable to update on Windows 11 with WSL

I am on Windows 11 with WSL 1 installed.

I have tried to setup a drive but after failling, I realised I need a newer version to be able to use SSH key password-less login. Assuming there was a version installer (either in W11 or in WSL) prior, I came here and installed 3.5 from the release page, and restarted the PC.

I still couldn't connect, I decide to try and use SiriKali see if it would help, and I have this weird message telling me I need a newer version even though I have just installed the latest.

My gut feel is that WSL comes with its own version packaged and that installing one another did not replace / update it but I might be completely wrong!
