Multi-touch screen with rpi not responding

Open MadTooler opened this issue 3 years ago • 0 comments

Version

2.0.11

Hardware / Firmware

GrblHAL

What happened

Running a raspberry pi 4b with Eviciv 7" multi-touch HDMI screen with usb for touch input. Rpi OS 32bit updated to whatever is current version as of today.

I know raspberry pi touchscreens are finicky to get multi-touch functioning, and the single touch does function, but I have not been able to get the visualizer to respond to multi-touch for zoom or pan. Some, not all, other programs, such as chromium, do recognize the multi-touch. When remote viewing my pi with VNC viewer, I am able to use my windows 10 touchscreen to pinch zoom correctly.

With all the clunkiness of pi OS interaction with multi-touch screens, I am unclear if this is really a bug or a conflict of some kind.

How to reproduce

From a raspberry pi 4b installation with the Eviciv 7" multi-touch screen, run UGS and try using 2 fingers to zoom within the Visualizer window.

Operating System

System: 32-bit Kernel version: 5.15 Debian version: 11 (bullseye)

Anything else

Problem is 100% of the time.
