Giving a local URL instead a remote URL

When I give a local URL instead of a remote URL, it gives me following error. Is it possible to handle to local URLs as well?

error fetching remote image: Get http://localhost:5000/1.jpg#200x200: Get http://localhost:5000/1.jpg: dial tcp 127.0.0.1:5000: connect: connection refused
