/direct/session POST issue

I've been working with the Sakai /direct web service for a while now and also ran into issues establishing a session via the session with Rutgers.

It's a possibility that web service login has been disabled? I found that there's a config in Sakai source-code to this a while ago. Will update this issue once I've got a link to it.

I haven't had much time to look into SakaiPy recently. I'm going to hopefully look into the login mechanism change over the holiday. My goal is to have it working with Sakai 11 and Sakai 10.x.

More context to this issue - https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-30083 Using portal/xlogin to log in fixes this, but is a significantly longer login.
