Opening a Dropbox paper also opens a new tab in the browser

Everytime I open a paper in the app, a new tab in the browser also opens on dropbox.com with the error message "Could not communicate with app".

Same here, I've tried to up the versions in package.json to the latest Electron but no help there :(

Its happening with other Dropbox Paper desktop apps, so maybe something the web site is trying to do.

Too bad this app seems completely abandoned, I really wanted a standalone Paper app. Any other, more recent tries out there?

Would love a standalone Paper app too. Running it via a web wrapper doesn't seem to work anymore though. I've tried building it myself with natifier, same issue. Tried Papyrus, same issue reported on July 3. Even tried generating an app with Fluid, same issue. Fluid doesn't use Electron so the problem may not be related to Electron itself.

For your reference, I had tried the app with Dropbox Paper https://www.bzgapps.com/coherencepro There is no issue on the App
