Some small UI quirks
Hi! Just tried out the app for the first time, and it worked! The two images in this issue have been transferred from my iPhone SE3 to my PC. I really appreciate your efforts to create this. I think it's super useful even at this stage, as it makes file transfers to Linux desktops and Android phones from iOS a lot easier.
Here are two UI quirks I found:
-
When I opened the app for the first time, the metadata for my PC didn't show up. It showed up properly after a restart, though.
-
The last switch in the settings, the "Refresh Credentials" one, has a weird, white border around it. Doesn't restrict anything functionality-wise, but looks weird.
Except for that, I like the feel of the UI. Maybe it would look cool if it was more native-like?
Also, it took some attempts to transfer files to my PC. It always showed up in the menu, but I didn't get any prompt to accept on my PC when I clicked transfer on the first tries. I understand that this is because the app is at an early testing stage, just thought that I'd report about it :slightly_smiling_face:
Keep up the great work! :+1:
Hello, thanks for the feedback!

In the time since you posted this I've also experienced the "blank remote" bug, but unfortunately it occurred unexpectedly while working on another area, so I haven't the foggiest idea what's causing it. Since it's a relatively painless bug, it's been placed at a low-priority (but has been noted).

The settings UI bug will be fixed in the next update.

I have a couple of ideas about areas that could be experiencing issues during initial connections, unfortunately I can't do more than speculate without logs, which I don't think can be gathered from Testflight (if they're being recorded by the device at all). Thankfully it seems to have been a transient issue; regardless, I'll keep an eye out for it!
I'll keep this open for now, as the issues mentioned have not been fixed, but I may close it in the future if I'm unsuccessful in reproducing them on demand (Since they don't seem to gravely/persistently impact functionality). Thanks again for reporting them!
