Slack is possessed and repeatedly reposting simple poll

I made a simple poll and Slack became possessed by demons and posted it 10 x. Every minute or two, it kept publishing it again. Any idea why it would do that? Anyone else been reporting similar?

That sounds very odd!

Is this still occurring?

It posted it 10 times and then stopped. I haven't tried a new poll for fear of spamming my colleagues with notifications again.

@tsword You can also use Simple Poll in a direct message to yourself. That way nobody will see it :)

@wilhelmklopp Good point. Sometimes we overlook the simplest of solutions :)

I think my employer's instance hit this or a related bug today. I /poll'ed, and the first Simple Poll post had all options blank with react buttons underneath saying our Slack admin had reacted with each. The second one had the options populated by text, with the same react buttons, then all its reacts but the "5" react disappeared.

@omkensey that sounds more like #3, which was resolved with the introduction of button polls
