[feature request] export data
I am a simple user, not a programmer, but I've been using this app for about 4 years now.
I would like to be able to export my data into something like a CSV to do analysis on it, especially the non-bleeding information like headaches and emotions which is basically not usable that far back because it doesn't show up as visible except on single day views. If this feature gets rolled out and works I'll find a donate button somewhere for you and click it!
Same here, I'm not a programmer but I'd love to have a csv export option. Plus, allowing csv imports would also be great for users migrating from another app. I've been using another app (drip) for years and just recently discovered log28 suits my needs better, but it's frustrating to have no easy way to bring my previous data into it.
@t54r4n1 I think your use case is very specific, I don't see a lot of people wanting to export in csv to analyze data. You could export it in the current ".realm" format and use something like realm-cocoa-converter to convert it to csv. As it stands currently, I don't think realm-kotlin supports export to csv natively.
@iaravps this issue is an opposite one - importing csv to log28, that can be quite challenging because just because a file is in .csv does not mean we know how it is internally structured. In practice, support for a couple most popular tracking apps can be added, but it adds onto maintaining load and I don't see this used very often. Myself, I just sat down for 10 minutes and manually input 2 years of tracking.
thanks for the answer! I did end up manually inputing my data. Since a csv export is apparently not planned, I would love to at least see non-bleeding information marked in some way on the calendar. As it is, they're pretty much unusable. I've looked into realm-cocoa-converter but apparently it only works on Mac, so I'll keep searching. thanks once again!
@iaravps could you create another issue about the non-bleeding info marked, perhaps attaching some screenshots of how it is in other apps?
Thank you for the feedback!
