ios: if more than 1 qr code in view, peripheral one is often scanned instead of the one positioned under the line

In ios (tested on ipad mini with ios 8.0 and iphone 4 with ios 7.1.2) when there are 2 or 3 qr codes within view of the camera then it picks usually the top one and occassionally the bottom one instead of the middle one positioned under the line-guide.

(On android on the other hand it seems to always scan the middle one)

I'm seeing this too on a iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.1.

I'm also having the same issue almost 8 month after the original post. Is there a way to reduce the scan area, lets say, to a rectangle surrounding the red line?

EDIT: After modifying zxing-all-in-one.cpp and CDVBarcodeScanner.mm I was able to scan much faster and change the defined green area. However, this is no the scan area. The next step is exactly reduce the scan area, but I fail to find where.
