I use passhash a lot (thanks!) and I'm sorely missing it after upgrading my browser.

I'm currently working on a new version. Please give this beta a try and give feedback: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/password-hasher-ng/

Thanks for the quick response!

I installed the beta versions and there are some issues:

  • The "#" button to bring up the add-on is very subtle and hard to see, I'd rather it stood out (black on yellow background or something).
  • The layout is buggy:
    • There's a mysterious "$$" floating above the right hand side of the Masterkey and the left hand side of the unmask checkbox.
    • Expanding the options doesn't increase the size to show all the options, resizing the window to be too tall causes the "Size" radio button to jump to the right). Personally I'd go with a window that shows all the options all the time and be done, but that's just me.
  • Pressing OK doesn't close the form.
  • The "#" button doesn't show up in all cases (e.g., try the bank of America login page).
  • The history of the per-site settings isn't imported from the old plug-in (not sure if that's even possible?).
  • There's no options to import/export the per-site settings (which is very useful for people who work on more than one computer, or when switching between versions :-)

So it mostly works, but not robust yet.

Thanks! Keep up the good work!

I converted this to a series of separate issues in the new project.
