Yeah, i also miss this behavior. It's currently implemented, but there is a bug somewhere. I already reported it here: https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-panel/issues/211

You can report is you want. Also, i noticed that is work with the horizontal layout, if you want a temporary solution

could you post the log of `cargo build --release` ?

Would be nice to add these to the readme. I'm not sure all are required tho. Imo, just - libxkbcommon-dev - gcc or ld - edit: probably pkg-config are required
