Scrolling problem in FF on OS X

In Firefox OS X, scrolling was problematic. I found that scrolling the various panels would become periodically unresponsive. I have 4 panels with the scrollbars. I periodically do update() on one of them. I can't said what exactly causes the problem. Calling update() on the broken one fixes the problem, but it's not a solution. Chrome and Safari didn't have this issue. The problem is in the latest FF on latest OS. On Windows it works fine.
