"Slack is Damaged and can't be opened: (Slack 3.1.1 - Mac)

Open steveharman opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

Hi, I just downloaded a fresh copy of Slack 3.1.1 from Slack (not the Mac app store, applied the code from https://github.com/widget-/slack-black-theme to the bottom of resources\app.asar.unpacked\src\static\index.js & saved my file.

Now when I try to launch Slack I'm told:

slack_error

Presumably some kind of checksum fails because the index.js has been modified? Is there any way around this? Obviously I can revert the code change and launch Slack but I'd like to get this mod working.

Thanks,

Steve

Odd I just modified mine and restarted it without any issue on 3.1.1 But as @Teressss is saying maybe it's a time bomb waiting to happen.

As per the readme, you should be editing ssb-interop.js and not index.js. If this is the case, can you share your ssb-interop.js as an attachment (rather than pasting the whole file contents)
