Yeah it's a known issue. I haven't work out how to properly refresh the status yet. You can follow up discussion here: https://github.com/widewing/toyota-na/issues/1#issuecomment-1006301980

It's not exposed as a button, you can find it in the service in dev tools

Thanks for follow up! I think I can just close this issue as it's half years and I lost the details, and although the mac is not factory it seems...

In previous version the states were fetched from cloud. The states were synced when your phone connected the lock, so you can't get the realtime update or control the lock....
