Laggy Star Filter in 3.2

The star filter is extremely laggy in 3.2 in Windows 10. After adjusting the slider it doesn't update for 20-30 seconds. It was immediate in 3.1.

Thank you for the bug report! I'll have to check cd.detectChanges() code 😅

As I've been upgrading this app's dependencies (Angular specifically), because of the changes in the Angular library, some user interactions don't seem to be auto-detected any more.

This happens in many other places in the app (I found) -- like clicking on the "Tags" tab at the bottom doesn't show it instantly until, for example, your mouse hovers over a thumbnail and the app thinks "oh, change detected" :trollface:

I'll need to fix this ASAP 🙇
