Finding Duplicates should be easier and faster
I think the process of finding global duplicates inside the hub should be easier, like a simple button in the top bar which automatically generate a search (similarly to what is now done when the option is activated from the prefs), or a simple quick button placed at the top or bottom of the dedicated search side panel.
Having to go to the preferences to do a simple duplicate search is cumbersome and not too logical I think, it should belong to the the side panel search area or to the top bar (or both ideally he he) but surely not in the preferences.
This is super-easy to do, it's just a matter of adding button icons (and updating the button icon-name) 👍
The reason I didn't add this already is because I was thinking "duplicate search" would be a once-or-twice thing per hub usually, and wouldn't be useful cluttering up the regular tool bar 🤷
Yeah ofc I see your point but customization of the interface of this great swiss knife utility software is key 😉 and in some workflows it can really help decluttering the library, I think it could be enabled at will to appear either in the side panel or in the top menu
@dia3olik -- if you'd like, I can help you code improvements to your own custom-version of the app. That is, you could update the code and build your own copy of the app with the changes you'd like (rather than wait for me to get around to it - and then wait for me to release the next version).
For this change, if you just want the button (and don't care how it looks), you can just re-use any of the icons from the app.
Just go to https://github.com/whyboris/Video-Hub-App/blob/main/src/app/common/settings-buttons.ts#L325 and add, for example:
iconName: 'icon-double-click',
and you'll have the button in the ribbon!
