Bug: diff preview of changes not correct when only deleting characters

😅 turns out there is a bug that exists in the original release that has not yet been resolved:

1. Delete some characters from a file you want to rename
2. Move your mouse outside of the area
3. Notice that the text shows the previous filename rather than the updated one
4. Add any character to any filename, and the problem goes away (moving the mouse away shows the new filename) ✅
