Wrong data of Vietnam
I found 2 data problems on current dataset:
-
The administrative boundaries are not correct for some districts in Ho Chi Minh City. For example, in below screenshot, the shape of 'Quan 1 Ho Chi Minh City' is totally different from Google Map's.

-
The 'Ha Tay' and 'Ha Noi' region was merged into 'Ha Noi' region but I only found 'Ha Tay' (not 'Ha Noi' region) in whosonfirst (there is 'Ha Noi' locality)

So please help to fix these problems. Thank you.
One more issue I found: the District 5 (Quan 5) of Ho Chi Minh City is missing in the dataset.
Thanks for the reports, we’ll have a look! Do you have geometries to contribute?

vnm_polbnda_adm2_fixed.json.zip I used the attached dataset, joined and filtered from https://data.humdata.org/dataset/viet-nam-administrative-boundaries-polygon-polyline
Hey @thucnc - thanks for all the info.. I took a look at the data linked above and unfortunately the license is restricted to "Humanitarian use only" and can not be used in the Who's On First project (we require a CC0 or CC-BY equivalent license). We can keep this issue open until we do find openly licensed administrative data for Vietnam, though.
It does look like we are missing the "Quan 5" record and the geometries are off in certain areas, so thank you for reporting!
Hi @stepps00, it seems like the license for that dataset may now be CC-BY-IGO so we may be able to revisit it
Thanks for all your work on WOF!
I agree the new license gives us option to import, exciting!
Thanks for the update here @sdacunha

@justinelliotmeyers Thoughts?
