Script fails to install on PVE 6.3-2

Open Pretagonist opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Script generates vms that won't boot. I end up in UEFI Shell> prompt.

VMs created with this script also fails in a similar manner when I try to boot them. It seems to complain about missing boot drives or similar.

On a new install I can navigate to FS0:/EFI/BOOT/ and run the bootimage directly. But on my old vm I only have a BLK0 device that I can't access.

I just ran into the same thing. Make sure you go under OPTIONS, Boot Order, select your drive and move it into position 1. Then start the VM.

I had to go to "Options" and change the "Boot Order" so it boots from "sata0" rather than "net0". What is that set to for you? See comment: #86

Hi, I can confirm this solution works, for me. So in Shell I typed exit The VM comes in start options menu, selected the boot management options and changed the order of booting, saved it and VM came up no problem.
