Undo Closed Tab: Preserve closed tab navigation history

When a closed tab is restored the navigation history (the one using the Back and Forward buttons) is lost. It would be nice to have this preserved by Undo Closed Tab.

I agree, but there's no way to implement this feature through Chrome extension API.

How unfortunate :(. Maybe we could file a feature request to support navigation history preserving when the browser/tabs are closed and also provide API to extenions to use it during close or something?

Hi!

Thanks for your work. Actually if you re-open a closed tab in chrome by pressing Shift+Ctrl+T the history is preserved. But the built-in closed-tab-history is far away from being cool... Actually this missing feature is preventing me from using chrome instead of ff. I need to re-open closed tabs frequently and if there is no history, this is pretty useless for me. Are there any chances to get this working?
