BLACK SCREEN AFTER VERBOSE
Hello , i have same laptop , Dell Inspiron 15 5577 laptop 7th gen kaby lake i5 processor , intel hd graphics 630 + nvidia gta 1050 4gb. 128gb ssd + 1TB hdd . Nothing replaced. i am using intel hd graphics and wanted to use opencore. i used your provided efi. But i am stuck. after selecting macos from picker , verbose text comes and after verbose , the screen goes black , not completely black , i mean screen is on but displaying nothing . So for testing purpose , i blindly logged in my account and captured a screenshot. it was perfect . it means that CATALINA is working , the only issue is that it is not displaying anything. please help me to get it fixed. Thank you.
I am sorry to hear that, and I also don't know what the matter.....Maybe your screen model is different from mine Maybe you could modify ig-platform-id 0x591b0000 to 0x59160000, this id has also worked before. Some problem of screen is tricky indeed, such as HDMI.I hope you can successfully use opencore.
Same issue I upgrade my catalina (clover) into big sur (opencore) I somehow managed to install it but no graphics acceleration. I’ve dell inspiron 5577 laptop Core i7 7700hq Intel hd 630
I’ve tried everything things. If i use platform id : 000001B59 Device id : 1B5900000 Laptop screen goes black it seems like big sur booted but no display. The exact same problem I encountered on catalina (clover) I tried different combinations and got succeed with Platform id : 0000001B19 Device id : 1619000000
If i use same for big sur (opencore) it doesn’t boot at all
It says something like “reported as SMC 1 Can’t find dpmicro “ Can u help to resolve issue ?
