Hi -- this seems abandoned, am I right in that assessment?

Yes, it seems so. Unfortunate though, it was a really neat idea. I started work on an Arch-based Python-centered distribution a few months ago, but abandoned it because my hardware forced me to run it in a VM and that was too finicky.

Hi,

Unfortunately I didn't had time and resources to keep going on the idea. If you check the LLFW, it already boots, but still needs to go into 32/64bit mode and load some libs and the python interpreter itself.

Hopefully I can hop back into it for my phd, but this ain't happening before 2020.
