Navigation keys broken out of the box
What Operating System(s) are you seeing this problem on?
macOS
Which Wayland compositor or X11 Window manager(s) are you using?
By convention, macOS/Emacs/Bash navigation keys should enable Ctrl+A to jump to the beginning of the line and Ctrl+E to jump to the end of the line. Instead, wezterm inserts dummy characters.

Please describe exactly the steps that you are doing and what you see. I personally have zero problem on MacOS, so it might be an issue with your environment, your configs maybe 🤔.
Make sure to try with the default config of Wezterm, of bash, of emacs..
Default wezterm configuration.
macOS zsh. I don't think I'm even using Homebrew zsh.
