Search Web does nothing

On a new Xiaomi 11 Lite, I tried to use the "Search Web" function after successfully scanning a barcode, but nothing happens other than throwing the message "no matching app found" (in German). I have selected "Google", though, and Firefox is installed as the default web browser.

Same issue with Lineage OS 19 (Android12), Brave as default web browser
