I don't have an mk2. Can anyone with the mk2 (running the latest firmware) send me a dump of the ROLAND folder when connected via USB. I can take a look to see how similar the format is to the mk1. I've just spent an evening updating everything in this project, so if the new format is not too far of from the current, I might consider adding support for it.

@westlicht Just got a RC505 MKII and started browsing github repos for RC505 and came across this. This tool you made is awesome. At first glance, the MKII should be compatible with it, or at least, not require many changes.

Here is a dump of my ROLAND folder— https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MRKuFG0L4CX24QBKTn3WkovTVPI_eMdg/view?usp=sharing

Everything is factory except that I made some small edits to settings in memory 1 and 2.

I have some tangential questions for you given you have a lot of experience with this machine's settings— do you have any idea how I might achieve more than 16 assigns? I tried to manually create a <ASSIGN17> element but it was not listened to.. Alternatively, in your time looking through these did you find any setting for putting the RC505 into some kind of verbose or debug mode? I want to get sysex and midi messages for every single button I press or every function I do. Then I can just have a program parse the sysex messages. Right now, I only get sysex for very few things like track start/stop but most functions don't send any sysex to midi/usb out.

Another question, any ideas how I might get the track volume faders to transmit midi out messages? I can get the FX knobs to do it but cannot find a source for the track volume faders to achieve this.
