Feature Request: Note Tie Behaviour

Greetings,

When the gate length is full, note is tied to the next step. But if we want to have a sustained note that plays for several steps, unless we fill next steps with gates of the same note, note is not sustained and cut off. In order to achieve such sustain, I need to select the step, copy it, select other steps which need to be sustained, then paste. This in my opinion takes a lot of keypresses and micro-management. It would be great to have the length parameter exceed the corresponding step and take over next steps, then maybe even slide when there are notes in between.
