VST plugin doesn't suppress microphone or do anything in Equalizer APO
I've installed RNNoise on my mic through Equalizer APO and it hasn't appeared to do anything. I've followed multiple tutorials online with no result. Can someone tell me how to troubleshoot it or any solutions, or a way to install it differently?
- Have you rebooted after installing Equalizer APO for your mic?
- When you enable the plugin there is a visible change of curve which Equalizer APO has on the bottom part of the window, does it change when you toggle plugin?
- Could you post screenshot of Equalizer APO window with plugin enabled?
- Could you post screenshot of mic configuration in Windows? (Like this: https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/7a59ebdb-080a-4523-be9e-f90468a684a3?upload=true)
- Also, are you using the latest version v1.03? If yes, you could also check whether v0.91 works: https://github.com/werman/noise-suppression-for-voice/releases/tag/v0.91
I have rebooted after installing EQAPO, there is a curve that changes when I enable and disable the plugin, this is what my APO window looks like:
and this is how my mic is configured.
And I am using v1.03. I've tried v0.91 with similar results.
Nitpick, you should use mono plugin, since you have mono mic. Though it shouldn't change anything.
there is a curve that changes when I enable and disable the plugin
This means that plugin should work. Do other effects provided by EQAPO work?
I don't use EQAPO for anything else and I'll use the mono plugin.
I meant, could you test other built-in effects? Because I think it's EQAPO which doesn't work for you, not my plugin in particular.
Alright, I'll try that.
I reinstalled EQAPO and its fine now. Thanks for helping!
