#1045 - Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I removed all my installations of InstantWP and restarted my laptop before making a fresh install from a new download, and when attempting to open mySql admin, I receive the #1045 - Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES). What is the resolution of this issue? I'm using the default admin user and password.

try root with no password
