font awesome issues
It seems the font-awesome link is broken. Therefore, neither our local website nor the webslides.tv is showing the facebook, twitter, github or any of the font-awesome icon. It is blocked out or blank. Could you fix that issue? I have fixed them by downloading the font-awesome and linked with a local directory.
It appears this is being caused by the expired x509 certificate ("SSL certificate") for one of fontawesome's domains:
file.myfontastic.com

I emailed them asking them to renew.

This isn't something that can be fixed in the Webslides project easily, unless they chose a different site to leverage other than Fontastic.
My recommendation for a temporary work-around until Fontastic updates their x509 certificate would be to access their CDN site directly ( https://file.myfontastic.com ) using the web browser you use with WebSlides. You should get a warning that the certificate is no longer valid (expired) and you should be able to choose the option to trust the expired certificate in your web browser.
This should temporarily resolve the issue until Fontastic renews the x509 certificate or WebSlides migrates to another font icon service.
Why don't you include the font package in the distribution ... is there really an advantage to request it from a CDN? it's not going to be updated anymore !
