Sponsored segments skipped on Youtube Shorts Videos even if SponsorBlock is disabled

I noticed on my C9 that Sponsored segments are skipped on Youtube Shorts Videos even if SponsorBlock is disabled. However this even happens when there are no sponsored segments on those short videos.
