Bug: Stuck at select profile screen

Issue description

Stuck at select profile. Nothing happen when click on profile icon, green button is working. I need to exit app and open again. Selection profile screen is skipped. So I need to open and exit app and re-open app again to using.

The profile selector screen doesn't show up often so it's difficult to debug this issue. A workaround is to use the arrow keys to move the selection back and forth before selecting without bringing up the pointer.

An option to suppress the profile selector completely would be great too
