Would additional GitPod Behaviour be helpful?

To make it easier for people to contribute, I'd like to add a GitPod setup. I'm proposing to configure the following:

  • [ ] prebuilds on each branch
  • [ ] prebuilds for each PR (from original and fork)
  • [ ] Automatically opening the built UI in an additional GitPod window

I propose that prebuilds would install dependencies but not run tests; Instead, each new workspace or workspace re-start will re-run tests.

Would this be appreciated?

Very much so! In fact the WebdriverIO org has a GitPod freemium subscription so everyone will be able to access all GitPod capabilities. I have been working on a GitPod setup for the main repo and wrote about it here.

We haven't used GitPod in quite a while. Let's reopen this as necessary.
