Adding "Browse apps" section to landing page
Can we have an "App" section in the home screen? so the list would read "Browse apps", "Browser elements", "Browse collections".
Couple of questions:
- where would the list of apps be sourced from?
- what would an app listing show?
Off the top of my head, i'd say any component with "*-app" prefix is most-likely an app?
App listing would essentially be a showcase of great websites built with web components. We could provide a way for users to specify metadata around how they want this to appear?
I can also image us hosting fully featured app demos at "[[appname]].webcomponents.org"? Like those demo sites Google used to showcase Polymer.
Hm. Yeah I had a similar idea where apps would be submitted with some images. They would have to be open source and hosted on GitHub like the rest of the components and we would look at the bower.json and link to the actual components that were used.
sounds like it. If you give me a plan, I can implement it and send you a pull request?...Or we can work off a staging branch and then you can merge?
How'd you like to get this done?
I think we should design it a bit more first since this would be a pretty big change. Maybe a quick write up here of how it would all fit together?
