Issue lost after authenticating with github and granting permissions for the first time

There is has been a case where a report got lost after authenticating with Github for the first time.

After granting the permissions on Github, I was immediately redirected to https://webcompat.com/, but not to any particular issue page.

I've tried to test this by revoking the credentials and filing the issue, but couldn't reproduce it. We need to test different scenarios, perhaps it could have happened because of a delay?
